Our Stump Grinding Process

Equipment Selection

Next, we'll choose the right equipment based on the stump's size and location. For smaller stumps, we might be able to remove them entirely, while larger stumps will be ground down using the appropriate grinder.

Site Preparation 

On the day of your service, we'll make sure the area is safe and ready for grinding, protecting surrounding plants and structures.

Using our specialized equipment, we'll grind the stump down below ground level, typically 6-8 inches deep.

Clean-Up and Finishing

We'll clean up the area and fill the hole with wood chips. If you prefer, we can remove most of the wood chips and add top soil and grass seed for an extra smooth finish.

Most stumps take between 30 minutes to 2 hours to grind, depending on size and location.

We take great care to minimize any negative impact. Our equipment is designed to be gentle on lawns, and we clean up thoroughly after the job.

Absolutely! Our compact grinder can fit through a standard 36" gate, so we can usually access most backyards.

For smaller stumps, we can do full removal if you prefer. For larger stumps, we recommend grinding as it's less disruptive to your yard.

We typically use the wood chips to fill the hole left by grinding. If you prefer, we can haul them away or leave them for you to use as mulch elsewhere on your property. If we haul the chips away, we do our best to repurpose them as mulch rather than take them to a landfill.
