If I want something done to a tree or shrub they will let me know if it is good for the plant... other companies would just tack it onto the bid! Saw Mathias Precision Tree Service doing an interview on Fox2 in the morning on January 26. I called for an estimate on a 30-40 foot walnut tree in my backyard. Chris came that afternoon. The work was very reasonably priced. Chris said they were booking 2 to 3 weeks out. I signed the contract. The next morning Chris and his crew showed up wanting to know if I would like have the work done that day. I said sure. The crew started around 8:30 and were finished by around 2:30. The crew was professional, polite, and thorough. One thing that struck me especially in this day and age is that Chris didn't want any money upfront. He sent an invoice after the work was completed. It's refreshing to see a trusting contractor these days. I would definitely recommend and use Mathias tree service in the future.

Mathias Precision Tree Service removed my old sod and re-sodded with a turf type tall fescue. They installed patio blocks around our pool retaining wall where the dogs would make a muddy dog run every year. Patio blocks solved the mud run issue.

The workers did a great job trimming up River Birch trees that were severely overgrown. Did a nice job cleaning up and very friendly. Would do business with them again.

Mathias did an excellent job for me last week! After watching a neighbor’s tree come down I knew I needed to have some of my own removed. I contacted Chris, who was able to get out and evaluate the trees quickly. They had me in the schedule the following week. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day, and got to work. They had all the equipment necessary to get the work done safely and even took the time to lay yard protection down, moved my grill and other things on my deck to prevent any possible damage. When they were finished, you could barely tell any work had been done, except for the obvious. Cleaned up thoroughly and made sure I was satisfied with their work. Prompt, professional, and great clean up.

Would absolutely do business with them again. They showed up, gave me a fair and competitive bid, and listened to my concerns. I had a big tree with a rotting base that endangered two houses. The tree was difficult to get to so it required accessing two different neighbor's yards so of course I was concerned about damaging other neighbors yards while hauling out the tree debris. Estimator looked at the yards, told me that they'd put down mats if necessary to protect the yards from the equipment. On the day of the work, a crew of ~8 guys showed up on time and had the tree cut down, cut up, and hauled off within a couple of hours. Zero damage to the neighbors yards, and zero debris left. Perfect.

These guys came out the Monday before 4th of July. We had a neighbor's tree fall into ours splitting it. The trees created a huge hazard for our family and neighbors. This was definitely a job for professional. We could tell from the website they had the right tools for the job. Thanks for all the hard work.

Mathias did an amazing job from start to finish. First off they were quick to get me a quote, that was honestly less than half the price of the name brand companies around here. They were able to schedule me in and even when I didn’t communicate well to my wife initially, the crew that was here took their time and asked about her recommendations before starting the work. "I highly recommend Mathias for your tree services! I had a giant ash tree in my front yard that I needed to determine if it should be removed or could simply be trimmed. Josh came out and explained to me about the borer damage on our tree, and seeing how attached we were to it, suggested how it could possibly be saved by injections and was up front about the cost and frequency, while explaining it was not a guarantee to save the tree. But he did not push me to make a decision, and recommended waiting until the leaves were coming in to make a final determination. He came back out a few weeks later and even I could see how most of the tree was already dead, so I made the decision to have it removed. I was surprised when they came only about 5 days later, as they had a cancellation, and the tree was completely removed, stump ground up and dug out, and soil, seed and straw covering in place in the span of just a few hours. The crew was fast, efficient, and careful to put safety first the whole time. I appreciated their kindness when my sentimental daughter asked for a cupful of wood chips from the tree that she could save in remembrance.

Mathias Tree Service was very responsive, professional and performed when conditions occurred in the area that they had work around due to conditions when electric company showed up unexpectedly to perform some maintenance on the electrical grid.

"Josh Mathias of Mathias Precision Tree Service came to my aid as he was enroute to another job, after a tornado had ripped through the area and impacted homes throughout my neighborhood. With the emergency situation, he recognized my desperation and was able to fit me in despite his busy schedule.

A nearby tree had fallen onto the house during the storm. Its limbs had pierced the roof and crashed through the ceiling near the bedroom where my disabled daughter was sleeping, and landed on top of the roof above my husband's bedroom. We were home alone at the time because my husband had been taken to the hospital just days earlier due to a sudden medical emergency.

The damage was extensive, as rain and wet debris soaked the interior of my home from multiple openings in the roof and ceiling. We had no power or internet. I made several calls but couldn't seem to get through to anyone for help. When Mr. Mathias showed up, he seemed like a Godsend!

Many thanks to the very professional Mathias crew. They did a wonderful job of trimming our oak tree. The tree looks much better and makes our house, neighbor's house, and the tree near it much less crowded and safer. They also cleaned up our yard and the neighbor's yard so thoroughly there was no debris left after such a big job. Mathias has trimmed this tree and taken down 2 large trees in our yard in the past. A huge branch fell on our playground. Mathias Precision Tree Service came the next day to remove it! They did such a great job! The branch was lying on and going through parts of the playground. I was worried it would be damaged more when the branch was being removed, but it wasn’t! They saved the playground!

From first request to project execution, Mathias Precision Tree Service was excellent. Communication was very good. They provided a quick estimate, answered questions and notified us when they would be coming. Finally found a tree service that wouldn’t chainsaw off an arm and leg too. They are very responsive. Others promised [to email bids] to me, but [I] never heard back. Mathias looked at the trees that needed trimming and gave me a bid before they drove off. These guys put the pro in professionals. I was amazed at the equipment they came with. They had a lift that fit through my 42” gate. Went 70 feet in the air. Others said we are going to have to get on your roof, which meant the branches would be falling onto my roof after being cut. Mathias didn’t allow one branch [to] touch my roof. They are licensed, bonded and insured, which they presented. They moved all my patio furniture and put it back after cleaning up the debris.
